Trent Ridder, Ph.D., CTO
Trent Ridder co-founded TruTouch Technologies Inc. and is presently the Chief Technical Officer. Trent specializes in near-infrared spectroscopy and multivariate analysis and has studied the origins of near-infrared signals and the complex instrumentation required for their accurate measurement throughout his career. His understanding of the complexities of noninvasive tissue measurements and the requisite components for their mitigation has led to key inventions that make noninvasive alcohol measurement a feasible opportunity.
Trent has been the principal scientist on the TruTouch team since 2002. During that period, he led several multidisciplinary development efforts that yielded significant advances towards a commercial device and conducted multiple clinical studies that created the foundation of the noninvasive measurement. Prior to 2002, he was a key contributor to the development of a non-invasive glucose monitor at InLight Solutions, Inc.
Dr. Ridder is an author on 4 United States patents, 4 patent applications, and has 5 peer reviewed publications to his credit. Trent received B.S. in chemistry from Northern Arizona University and his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Arizona.
