TruTouch Technologies, Inc., has developed and demonstrated noninvasive
alcohol testing systems using revolutionary technology. We have
successfully demonstrated working prototypes in clinical studies with
results that are equivalent to breath alcohol testing.
TruTouch will bring to market the first of its noninvasive alcohol-testing
products with a unique differentiator -- a spectral biometric identity
capability. This product launch will mark the beginning of the
shift away from today's predominantly breath alcohol testing practice to
touch-based alcohol testing.
Our product is based on near infrared spectroscopy and demonstrates a
superior solution for providing unsupervised alcohol testing.

TruTouch participated on two panels at the International Technology Symposium: A Nation Without Drunk Driving sponsored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). "I am honored that MADD chose New Mexico to host this conference. New Mexico has a long association with technology, from our National Laboratories to cutting-edge new firms such as TruTouch Technologies, which has developed and demonstrated noninvasive alcohol testing systems," said Governor Bill Richardson in the opening remarks to the Symposium participants. Participants comprised a broad cross section of those interested in putting an end to drunk driving including researchers, judges, law enforcement professionals, state legislators, representatives of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and representatives from all of the major automobile manufacturers. Susan A. Ferguson, Ph.D., senior vice president, research for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, who chaired a session on Technology Development Challenges said, "Looking to the future, we want to develop technologies that will make the job of detecting these drivers much easier, and step in to prevent them from driving when over the legal limit." Chuck Hurley CEO of MADD summed it up by saying, "Emerging technology is one of the most promising and potentially effective approaches to eliminate drunk driving in this country."
