Our product, based on near infrared spectroscopy, is a
noninvasive alcohol measurement system with inherent
biometric identity verification capability. Prototypes
have been clinically tested. The product demonstrates
superior solutions for providing unsupervised alcohol
testing. TruTouch has secured an exclusive license
from InLight Solutions to over 100 US and foreign patents
issued and pending for the alcohol-testing field of use.
Competitive advantage
Presently there are many different technologies used for
alcohol testing, and all of them require: a sample of a
bodily fluid, the use of a disposable, and supervision.
Most are cumbersome, require test subject cooperation,
and are not capable of producing simple, unsupervised
screening with fast turnaround of test results. None
can provide identity verification integral to the test.
These limitations have hampered widespread alcohol testing
from penetrating many opportunities outside of law enforcement.
The result is that the markets are underserved.
